sheila welchSchool in the 1940’s-1950’s. Took art to “A”Level. The only subject in which I ever gained a distinction (very proud).

1953 Work took over my life, no time for art.                                           1957 Marriage and children took over my life, no time for art            1968 Last child to school, time for art. One year of day time lessons in Portraiture under the tuition of Edward D’Arcy Lister at Poole College. Loved it!                                                                                                           1991 Joined Pelhams Art Club. Treasurer of the club for three years. Learned how to use watercolour paint under the inspirational guidance of Frances Shearing                                                                                                                                             2003 Formation of BBAG. Treasurer from 2005 until 2007.                                                          2007 The Club is a large part of my life and I am still trying to improve my painting technique. Still loving it – no time for housework!
